As part of Lalamove's continued growth plan, we are launching in the United States and seeking a Business Development & Partnerships Associate based in Chicago, IL.

About the role The Business Development & Partnerships Associate will be essential to building the Lalamove business from the ground up and act as an ambassador of Lalamoves mission, brand, and product.

They will be heavily involved in and responsible for generating new user signups, increasing demand / orders on the platform, developing and managing a network of potential users, building and maintaining strategic business partnerships.

This person will work closely with our Chicago Operations and Marketing team, and report directly to the Managing Director of Chicago.

Responsibilities Business Development - Win New Business Identify prospects, pitch new deals, create proposals, and negotiate agreements in order to bring new business onto the platform and increase active users.

  • Consistent Communication Leverage prospecting skills and relationships to build partnerships with enterprise partners through proactively maintaining communication channels.
  • Funnel Management Setup a funnel management process, collaborate with marketing to generate user interest against hard targets (input metric) in order to maximize the conversion of these leads down the funnel and reach your first time users target (output metrics) - Relationship Management Manage the community of users, continually seek new solutions for their logistics challenges, build incentives to drive engagement and referrals, while ensuring our service professionalism.
  • Growth - Product Adoption Clearly communicate the value proposition with a lens of creativity to differentiate our offerings and address the partners needs.

  • Process Creation & Improvement Develop scalable end-to-end processes for enterprise partnerships, new customer acquisition channels, and other areas to drive growth.
  • Data Analysis Develop business models and analyses to understand trends, provide meaningful insights, and track the impact of initiatives against our goals.
  • What we seek Basic Qualifications -A proven track record of success in quota driven roles including creating and executing business aligned sales.

  • 1-2 years in enterprise and / or field sales, business / corporate development, or management consulting. We will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements.
  • Understanding of the sales methodologies, what drives sales behavior, how sales processes work, contract structure / negotiations, and customer incentives -Bachelors Degree Preferred Qualifications -Experience at a high-growth company / startup within the delivery logistics (3PL) or online marketplace (B2B / B2C) space is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of sales forecasting and target planning. -Demonstrated ability to lead business process design and improvement initiatives, automate operational tasks, and prioritize time for high business impact activities (long and short term.
  • Strong network on which to rely on to expand the business. -Demonstrated success launching and scaling partnership programs.
