Job Description Summary

The Microgrid Business Development Leader will shape commercial strategy, develop market segments to drive profitable growth, and maintain customer intimacy.

Designing and delivering advanced motor, drive and control technologies that evolve today's industrial processes for a cleaner, more productive future, and developing complex integrated systems that provide behind-the-meter resilient, reliable and efficient microgrid networks, it serves specialized sectors such as energy, marine, industry and all related services.

As Microgrid Business Development Leader, you will own and drive the sales development strategy across the microgrid solutions portfolio within key targeted Industrial, Commercial and Utilities segments in the ASIA market.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone that is competitive and likes a challenge, as you will have an opportunity to develop new revenue streams, increase market share and visibility while driving key partnership frame agreements as required for the delivery of turnkey complex systems of systems.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities :

Partner with GE Power Conversion regional commercial teams and other GE Power and GE Renewable businesses to drive existing market share growth.

Design and execute specific strategies needed to break-in and grow share across untapped segments or regions by :

Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.

Researching organizations and personal to find new opportunities.

Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.

Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Developing quotes and proposals for clients.

Developing goals for the commercial team and business growth and ensuring they are met.

Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.

Interface and liaison between the sales team and business to meet customer demands and influence.

Develop strong relationships with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction), project developers, and investment institutions to drive orders and revenue growth while improving knowledge of covered segment drivers and value proposition.

Shape and craft value propositions for microgrid segments or regions.

Leverage SFDC ( Salesforce.com ) to track customer and account activity, driving improved visibility.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline or Business from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 8 years of work experience in a commercial capacity (Sales, Commercial Operations, or Marketing) related to complex solutions rather than products.

Ability to develop and build a capture team for long sales cycle complex projects.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in order to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.

Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements.

Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.

Be proactive, organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.

Desired Characteristics :

Prior work experience with medium voltage product familiarity

Prior work experience with integration of distributed energy resources (DER).

Strong team player, work ethic and dedication to job

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills

Ability to interact & function cooperatively with multiple stakeholders and customers
