Position Summary

Bechtel is seeking a Contracts Formation / Administrator (LL) for the Mining & Metals team, based in Peru. The position will be responsible for fhe formation and administration of medium to large Contracts.

Verify with the implementation of Contract administration procedures and the completion of administrative tasks. Monitors and reports areas of assigned Contract performance.

Coordination with other areas to evaluate and propose solutions for the Contract's problems and claims.

Administers the Contract RFQ formation Bid, Evaluate and Award (BEA) cycle, Contract execution, change management, payment, and provides management reports of all commercial or technical difficulties.

Negotiate and document settlement of change orders, amendments, and claims with contractors and customers.


The Contracts Formation / Administrator (LL) is principally responsible for :

Monitor areas of Contract performance, as assigned.

Administers assigned Contracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties.

Lead meetings, presentations, and training sessions.

Prepares periodic status reports for management.

Administers moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlements.

Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, Contract performance, Contract administration, and other major matters.

Extensive knowledge and experience in Contract formation and / or administration required. Represents Bechtel in Contract negotiations.

Represents Bechtel in contractual discussions of moderate complexity.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

The Contracts Formation / Administrator (LL) shall be knowledgeable and / or experienced in :

Associate bachelor’s degree or related technical training. Eight (8) years + relevant Contract Formation and / or Contract Administration experience (preferably mining), AND a good working knowledge of the law, negotiations, accounting, or cost engineering gained through education or experience.

Additional Qualifications

Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

Good working knowledge of contract types, terms, and legal requirements.

Availability to work either at the Jobsite, or Teleworking, or in a different location.
