The ideal candidate will have a high-level understanding of backend development, including Laravel 8, PHP 7+, MySQL 5.7+.

In this role, you will collaborate with a growing team of software engineers to increase our capacity to deliver high-end user interactions and experiences.

Responsibilities

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launch

Assist with documentation on new features & contribute to the documentation of existing ones.

Thoroughly document requirements, bugs, and potential issues along with replication steps and / or negative impact

Propose new methods & approaches to old solutions, help to improve / development standards

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. Write backend API services in Laravel for internal programs, focused on scaling, testing, supporting, and maintainability

Write high quality, secure, clean, and high performing code

Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products

Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

Requirements

4+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience

3+ years of experience microservices

3+ years experience in Laravel PHP framework

4+ years experience with relational databases like MySQL

Experience with NodeJS, ReactJS

Advanced English level

Must be self-motivated and possess strong communication and coordination skills between Client Support, Product, and Engineering to execute solutions

A strong business sense and ability to collaborate with leadership and non-technical stakeholders on highly visible projects

Strong knowledge and a passion for software best practices, design patterns, and testing

Experience with CI / CD tooling, including Github Actions and Workflows

Understanding of best practices for web development, software design, and DevOps principles
