Responsibilities :
Mentor Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
Optimize efficiency in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support
Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts
Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and mentor problem resolution to the lowest level
Meet First Time Through, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
Build Team Leader and Team Member capability
Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
Work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED
2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
1+ years Microsoft Office experience to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree
Engine Machining, subassembly, or assembly experience
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
CNC machining experience preferred (PTO specific)
Safety and Quality experience preferred
Solid understanding of internal combustion engines
Prior experience managing a unionized work force
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors
Strong problem-solving and conflict leadership skills
