About this opportunity Welcome to the People and Reward Compliance team within Group Functions Compliance. We add value by supporting and challenging the first line of defence in compliance related matters.
As theLead Compliance Officer you'll play a key role in driving and developing your responsibility area in Group Compliance together with colleagues and stakeholders.
This is a new role that will work closely with several risk areas in Group Compliance and across Nordea's second line of defence.
You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while providing your subject matter expertise and advise on the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements.
What youll be doing : Developing and coordinating the ESG risk area in Group Compliance together with colleagues Following up, analysingand taking action on regulatory development in the area, including drafting and updating internal rules and processes Continuingtoembedthe ESG risks into Group Compliance's tools and processes Delivering agreed compliance activities relating to the risk area Ensuring timely and accurate reporting on the risk area Communicating and sharing information with colleagues and stakeholders Providing training on related topics Youll join a team with highly skilled compliance specialists.
The role is based in Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Tallinn or any Nordea location in Poland. Who you are Collaboration. Ownership.

These are the values that guide us in being at our best and that we imagine you share with us.To succeed in this role, we believe that you : Have superiorknowledge inthe ESG risk area and / or sustainability Have understanding and experience with the latest ESG related regulations and supervisory guidance such as SFDR, the EU taxonomy, the ECB guide on clime-related environmental risks and the EBA report on management and supervision of ESG risks Have the ability to analyse complex regulation andimplement it into existing frameworks and processes Have superiorcommunication skills in the English language, also in writing Have the ability to work independently, and take initiative and full ownership of your work Are structured, analytical and have a high degree of integrity Have demonstrated ability to manage across multiple stakeholder groups and across legal entities and enjoy working with others Thrive in an environment of change with a rapidly changing risk area Your experience and background : Experience and history inworking with ESG / sustainability, preferably in the financial industry Experience ofhaving acted in a senior advisory capacity towards senior stakeholders and regulators Superior understanding of supervisory powers, practices and expectations of EU regulators Good understanding of financial industry and banking Master's degree or similar If this sounds like you, get in touch!
