Job Description :
We are seeking a director of engineering with an active-oriented mindset and a focus on exceeding expectations, who operates with vision and integrity.
Directors of engineering can expect to play an active role in the development and completion of projects, meet and report back to CEO directly, plan and monitor work schedules and cash flows, and work with multiple and diverse teams.
Some of their responsibilities also include aligning engineering activities and projects with company goals and objectives, providing expert guidance and support, approving newly-developed policies from various departments, and maintaining positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Oversee the recruitment strategy of new developers (while this might sometimes involve interviews, the main focus would be on creating strategies and plans for hiring, ensuring that as a company we are hiring enough to keep up with sales, etc).

We want to create programs that individuals can participate in to further their knowledge in several areas.
Implementation of development practices and strategies. In collaboration with Director of Operation, the Directors of Engineering would work with teams to make sure new practices are understood and in use for each project.
Development of a new team structure. At Outcode we'd like to innovate around the team structure itself. The goal is to bring product and engineering together as a cohesive unit, and to redefine concepts such as the tech lead.
The Directors of Engineering would work with the CEO to implement these changes.
Participate in Outcode leadership calls. These calls are used to discuss our goals with leadership of other departments.
It also gives us an opportunity to hear what others are working on and find opportunities to align.
