We have a fantastic opportunity to join with us! Mondelez International is looking for vacancy : Manufacturing Manager. Position Purpose Ensure running of the entire production process within the Section in accordance with principles HPO and of Continuos Improvemet culture, with lower possible cost, higher quality standard, zero accidents, accomplishment of KPIs set by the company, through optimum production planning, supply of raw and packaging materials, providing high quality of the end product and fulfilling safety norm.

People development and satisfying internal customer’s needs.Responsible for all decisions made inside the section, this includes safety, quality, performance, CI and HR topics.

Main Responsibilities Manufacturing

  • Ensure the most-cost effective production process in agreement with the plans defined by the Plant Manager, while executing the production schedule with the best quality and the lowest possible cost for the local business units and abroad business units.
  • Assure that Section achieves productivities and efficiency targets. Responsible for overall line’s efficiency, yield, line manning and production volume.

  • Actions must be taken if the KPIs are not achieving the expected results.
  • Quality, Safety and Environment

  • Responsible for all the products produced in the section. All products must adjust to the specifications of the product.
  • Also, the section manager has to guarantee and promote the compliance of the quality procedures, quality standards (HACCP, GMP) and the safety procedures are in place, being monitored and followed by corrective actions if needed.

    To support SSE's programs and to reinforce a good behavior in the members of the manufacturing team. Act as the leader in safety, occupational health and environment.

  • Participate as an internal auditor in audits to be scheduled annually
  • Participate actively in scheduled and unscheduled meetings of food safety team
  • Support and actively participate in the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety and Environment system, based on the norms ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, KIM, ISO 9001 : 2008 , QCMS and support the implementation of FSCC 22000.
  • CIP and Conversion

  • Bear responsibility of the productivity and CIP projects of the section. Section manager present projects that generate savings and reduce product cost.
  • Improvement teams will be developed and focusing on safety, security, efficiency, productivities and quality.
  • People Management

  • Management of section team and guarantee the individual development and the orientation of workers (all) inside the section.
  • Responsible for the formation of the members of the section team.
  • Establish a team member culture at the lines, providing clear comprehension of the requirements for the CI culture (for example, the organization, the TPM, the behavior / attitude and the culture).
  • To communicate the plans and the information to the section teams and compromising all.
  • Controlling and Methods

  • Responsible for preparing section’s budget, verifying the adhesion to the numbers of the budget, do follow up, analyze variations and establish action plans if needed.
  • Definition and follow-up of the KPIs of the conversion process, as well as the definition of the capacity and the needs of personnel based on the production plan and the cost of the product.
  • It is responsible for the calculation of the productivities and the calculation of the costs of the products in the section.
  • Responsible of the correct collection and record of the costs and the performance of the line of the Section.
  • Production Planning

  • Guarantee the DVL planning considering increases or decreases of the volume (utilization of temporary workers, personnel of season, the planning of vacations) and to assure the plans of contingency in necessary case.
  • Academic Knowledge

  • University degree, ideally in Industrial Engineering or in Food Engineering.
  • Working Knowledge

  • 4 years in Manufacturing environment (Production, Maintenance, Engineering preferred) in multinational or important local Companies, preferably in consumer product industry.
  • Experience in leading teams is needed.
  • Experience working with Unions and plant operators.
  • Optional CI background is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems MRP or ERP (Prism, SAP) and in MS Office.
  • CI Methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, QCDSM).
  • Abilities

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
