Senior Credit Risk Analyst for Agriculture in Lima

Your Main Tasks

  • Lead or support investment Due Diligence and fundamental credit assessments, perform investment criteria checks, and confirm credit ratings, including counterparty, systemic / market, commodity and country elements
  • On-going monitoring of market and sector developments, outstanding transactions and counterparties.
  • Where relevant, lead or support restructuring or recovery cases.
  • Lead or support the development of analytic tools.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and research tasks, as necessary.
  • Provide mentoring support and coach junior team members in the Lima office;
  • Cooperate with the global team, involved investment officers and internal and external third parties to achieve optimal results.
  • Support regional team on credit and portfolio strategy, and potential new growth avenues.
  • Your Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 8+ years in a credit risk or credit analysis role in the financial sector, with a strong focus on SMEs or corporates along the agriculture value chain in South and Central America.
  • Proven experience in restructuring or recovery cases in the region and track record in development investments.
  • Completion of a recognized credit training program or similar professional accreditation
  • A graduate degree in either business, finance or economics as well as strong writing, excel and presentation skills.
  • Highly reliable, flexible, self-reliant and team-oriented personality who easily operates in an international and intercultural environment.
  • Fluent in Spanish, proficient working ability in English, spoken and in writing.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for impact investments.
