Leading the preparation of resource estimates that focus on our clients’ needs at all stages of mining projects.
Provide expert advice to clients on a broad range of topics including geological and resource data collection, QA / QC, Drill spacing optimisation, resource modelling, classification and verification, Mine to Mill reconciliation and geostatistical modelling.
Consulting on projects for our clients from early stage exploration to active mine sites globally, including travel to mine sites to conduct reviews, audits and site investigations
Working with an integrated group of professionals to ensure due consideration is given to all aspects of the project value chain when developing resource models.
Be the Qualified Person on projects and be willing to sign off on NI43-101, JORC and other statutory reports.
Write up case studies demonstrating value added to clients’ projects and present technical papers at events and conferences.
Maintain update and expand internal company databases
Manage and lead mineral resource focused studies
Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Sciences, Geological Engineering or related field
A Master’s degree or citation in Geostatistics will be highly regarded
8+ years of project experience, with at least 3 years site based experience and significant technical exposure to all aspects of both underground and open pit mines;
Professional Geoscientist or eligible to become one with APEGBC to allow sign off in NI43-101, JORC, SAMREC and other reports
Strong working knowledge of geological principles, interpretation and modelling
Demonstrated capability in resource modelling and familiarity with both linear and non-linear estimation techniques.
Experience in exploration, resource development and production data collection, QA / QC, EDA, validation and modelling techniques.
Expert knowledge and demonstrated capability in commercially available computerised modelling and resource estimation software (Leapfrog, Minesight, Vulcan etc.)
English language capabilities will be highly regarded
