We have an exciting opportunity for a customer focused, technically experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Lima Peru who wants to work with world-

Although this position is based in Peru we will also consider candidates globally who would relocate to Lima for a 2 to 3 year term (to be re-
evaluated at the end of the term)
Carry out engineering analysis, design & reporting for projects related to tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps and other mine infrastructure
Perform Dam Safety Inspections / Dam Safety Reviews, Dam Safety Evaluations, Risk Assessments
Business Development for geotechnical engineering, particularly within mining
Prepare and review high quality technical reports, proposals and project documents;
Manage the preparation of design drawings & specifications from scoping study to detailed design and construction
Develop construction and engineering cost estimates
Work as an integral team member in a multi-discipline environment
Provide leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers
Manage contractors and sub-consultants
Responsibility is primarily focused within Peru, but will also include supporting projects within South America, and also globally, and as required travel to client sites within Peru and also to Chile and Argentina
Graduated from an accredited university with a degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geological Engineering
10+ years of experience in civil, geotechnical or related relevant experience in mining; 15 + years is preferred
Experience with design and construction of tailings storage facilities, water storage dams and related mine-site infrastructure
Experience working with applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines and standards (CDA or ICOLD, ANCOLD).
Experience in a consultancy managing multiple projects simultaneously
Proven experience with budgeting, cost forecasting and scheduling
Demonstrated client liaison and business development skills
Experience working in South America and Spanish language skills are a distinct advantage
