Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Subject matter expert for assigned commodity in indirect material
Broad function is to support his / her Section Head to meet SQE and Quality Assurance's KPI.
Provide subject matter expertise on the commodity assigned which include auditing suppliers to ensure it meets the expected quality standards
Engage in supplier development during product development stage all the way through sustaining quality management during mass production
Take ownership of a component related excursion and provide leadership to drive root cause and corrective / preventive actions implementation
Facilitate and guide suppliers on FMEA+ adoption to establish suppliers process robustness
Formalize process design to manage and control any changes at suppliers
Collaborating with suppliers on continuous variability reduction of mechanical components to achieve ultimate goal of CpK ( 1.67 Qualifications
Qualify new suppliers which have been identified by Procurement and work to bring suppliers to a high quality standards as required by WDC
REQUIRED :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
At least 8years in Engineering or related field
Able to write and has good command of English
Able to travel to suppliers on short notice
PREFERRED :
Previous experience in product packaging
Experienced in Quality Management Tool
Trained Six-sigma, quality tool
Previous experience in Supplier Quality Management and Control system (Supplier management Guideline)
Can work independently with minimum supervision
Traveling within Asia may be required
