This is a great opportunity to join our vibrant company and become a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering (SE) team. This position is focused on VMware’s vRealize products for on-premises, hybrid, and multi cloud environments.

This is a position where you can help enable some of VMware’s largest global customers to realize the value and agility of cloud, K8s & automation.

Roles and Responsibilities :

In this Senior Solution Engineering Specialist (SE) role, cloud management represents domains of equal importance automation, operations, and analytics.

We strive to help our customers deliver the self-service portals and blueprints that will delight their end users. We educate them on the path to automating everything in the data center.

  • Evangelize VMware’s strategy by driving product presentations and demonstrations to customer executives and technical teams.
  • Provide expert technical support for opportunities involving vRealize management and integration into new and existing management and monitoring systems.
  • Drive Proof of Concept exercises for vRealize products in customer labs to validate solutions.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Cloud solutions, industry directions, DevOps, trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Provide consultative support to VMware colleagues, customers, and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management, Technical Marketing and Engineering during the development, launch, and continuing refinement of VMware products.
  • Maintain, grow, and leverage technical pre-sales relationships with key VMware Partner Field Organizations.
  • Document best practices & architectural references in developing and deploying VMware Cloud solutions
  • Required Skills :

  • 6+ years of experience in technology related areas of Cloud Management.
  • Experience with IT automation and configuration management solutions. Some examples include - vRealize Automation and Operations, Turbonomics, vCenter Orchestrator, Jenkins, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Openstack, Salt, Docker, Github, Kubernetes etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technology to all levels within an organization, in Spanish and English
  • Ability to embrace and keep up with the rapid change of pace in the industry
  • Ability to uncover business challenges via question-based selling skills and develop a custom solution to solve those challenges
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, when permitted.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field or equivalent experience
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated
  • Strong relationship building skills both with customers and VMware colleagues
