Our client is a leading Canadian specialty products retailer with a national bricks and mortar footprint and an online presence.

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Vice President of Operations is responsible for driving the partnership between sales and operations while providing strategic leadership, innovation and vision for the Company’s DC operations team (Home Delivery, Warehousing, and Inventory) across multiple geographic sites.

This position requires the individual to develop future-oriented strategies and continuous improvement, including costs optimization, process optimization, and standardization while working hand-in-hand with sales & customer service.

First Year Deliverables :

  • Work in partnership with the consulting firm to complete the roll-out of the new ERP system across the DC network.
  • Create efficiencies while maintaining industry leading service levels on cost of delivery.
  • Continue to drive a positive and empowering culture.
  • Drive efficiency, automation and strive for perfection of the last mile’ experience.
  • Ensure the back end operations reflects and enable an industry leading retail experience.
  • Embrace new technology and be a driver of change management throughout operations.
  • The ideal candidate is an accomplished operations leader who has gained their experience within a dynamic retail environment.

    They have demonstrated success partnering with sales and customer service to ensure the customer experience differentiates them in the marketplace They are an accomplished strategic leader with extensive knowledge in the area of inventory management, national distribution networks and has perfected last mile delivery.

    The VP Operations will have gained a reputation as a dedicated and disciplined leader who consistently over-delivers on business goals and targets.

    A Professional designation (PLog, CITT, Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Six Sigma Green Belt and / or Black Belt certifications) is considered an asset.
