Work as an integral part of the mining consulting team to deliver value to our clients in an efficient and effective manner
Ensureall aspects of the project value chain are considered in the solutions offered to our clients
Be the Qualified Person on projects and be willing to sign off on NI43-101, JORC and other statutory reports.
Travel to mine sites to conduct reviews, audits and site investigations
Benchmark existing operations and provide consulting advice to operations
Prepare mine optimisations and designs with a focus on delivering value and adhering to constraints
Maintain update and expand internal company databases
Evaluate contrast and compare new and existingtechnology, mining equipment and methods to determine the best value solutions to our clients
Lead due diligence assessments of active mining operations
Build detailed financial models for mining projects
Support clients with their on and off-site mining engineering needs
Undergraduate degree in Mine Engineering
An MBA, CFA or other financial qualification will be highly regarded
Professional Engineer or eligible to become one with APEGBC to allow sign off in NI43-101, JORC, SAMREC and other reports
8+ years of project experience, with at least 3 years site based experience and significant technical exposure to all aspects of both underground and open pit mines;
Extensive technical knowledge of mining engineering fundamentals and techniques used for underground and open pit operations and a demonstrated ability to apply these to deliver value to client operations;
Demonstrated understanding of the importance of incorporatinggeology, rock mechanics, metallurgy and processing in all mining engineering work
Excellent knowledge of general and specialist computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite; Minesight, Vulcan, Whittle, and Deswick
Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional manner
Flexibility to travel as required for project work;
