As a Client Engineering Architect, you will be part of the VMWare Colleague Experience & Technology Client Engineering team and work with some phenomenal minds of the End User Computing Division.
You will be the architect for various end-user computing products deployed internally and in service to more than 35,000 colleagues.
You will likewise be coaching and supporting the group.
What is the primary need, technical challenge, and / or problem you will be responsible for?
As a Client Engineering Architect, you will be contributing to the overall end-user computing architecture and solutions, including solutions that Enterprise Architects have instructed you to develop.
For effective governance of the technology domain administration, the technologies must incorporate policies, standards, and acceptable solutions.
It has to be consistent with VMWare's Anywhere workspace and Enterprise Architecture standards.
You will be responsible for defining how to implement new technologies, including initial deployment, operations, support, and maintenance, with full consideration of security, costs, colleague experience, and business requirements.
In particular, architecting and implementing build configurations for new; laptops, desktops, mobile telephones, and tablets.
All managed through VMWare and partner technologies.
You will be drawing in with various Information Technology teams to improve the service quality and increment the user experience.
Your work with VMware End-User Computing Product development teams will strengthen our product.
You will be an authority with the requisite knowledge to work across the Colleague Experience & Technology verticals to provide strategic technical direction to optimize enterprise outcomes.
As a Client Engineering Architect, you will collaborate on evolving the domain architectural runway built to support future, current and near-term business needs.
Also, you will drive everyday usability and system behavioral constructs across the domain solutions.

What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
As part of the Client Engineering Team, you will :
Create high-level solution models and architectures for all aspects of EUC which align with organizational requirements, meeting all security, operational, and integration needs.
Work collaboratively to create EUC target architecture that aligns with VMWare's broader cloud adoption architecture and roadmaps.
Be the end-user computing design authority on projects with having an End-user computing touchpoint and ensuring adherence to architecture and design standards and the target EUC architecture.
Own and manage End User Computing solution architecture roadmaps and blueprints, defining and delivering an ongoing continuous improvement and maintenance program.
Provide guidance relating to business changes, changes in underlying technologies, emerging standards, competitive changes, and other factors, which may drive the business in directions outside the purview of agile portfolios.
This can include recommendations for development and delivery technology stacks, inter-program system collaboration, interoperability of solutions, APIs, tooling, etc.
Understand solution context and work with the teams and partners to help ensure fitness for a healthy environment.
Provide regular constructive feedback about the VMWare’s end user computing product deployed internally.
Build Knowledgebase Articles, Architecture Framework, High-level and Low-level Diagrams for various End User Computing products for the internal reference.
Dive deep to understand all layers of the services technology stack. Document the architecture, deployment, configuring, and managing VMware Horizon On-prem, Cloud and Hybrid, and Workspace ONE solution.
