The SALT Audit Manager is responsible for advising clients of the tax implications and other accounting related matters that affect their business objectives, with an emphasis on accounting and consulting related to unclaimed property.
This role is a very unique role that will allow a financial statement auditor the ability to use their accounting skills (e.
g., project management, reconciliation skills, financial auditing skills, accounting skills, etc.) in a consultative capacity where sporadic data sets are obtained analyzed and modeled.
The SALT Audit Manager will recommend alternate courses of action, as well as identify different methods of complying with unclaimed property statutes and regulations In this role, the person will be charged with project management, presentations to clients and states, coordinating audit defense, managing client expectations and deliverables, some marketing, networking and business development and recognizing potential changes in tax unclaimed property policy and applying new policies to tax compliance.
In addition, the STS SALT Manager will work with the Core Tax Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers to provide SALT expertise to their clients.
