Minera Yanacoca SRL start their operations in 1992 in Cajamarca City partnership with Buenaventura, is the largest gold mine in South America.

Scope of effort for position involves projects greater than 1B capital and up to 3000 people peak work force. Managerial responsibility and accountability of all aspects of successful business set : up, project development and operation of a new business unit.
Overall accountability for a Project to transition the project from Execution to Operation. : Provide guidance and leadership of Operations planning and development, will be responsible to ensure the project from Operations prespective is scoped, scheduled, budgeted, staffed and executed as per Newmont policy and procedure.
Overall responsibility of the areas of Mining, Process, Maintenance, Mine Geology and HSLP and the delivery of project business investments within the approved investment criteria.
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, rules, laws and government regulations within Project and Operations Scope.
Facilitate, direct, schedule, and ensure all Newmont Stage and Gate requirements including Stage deliverables, peer reviews, Gate presentations, opportunity and risk management, and application of Value Imporving Practices are met.
Develop the business (Strategic and Execution) plan including the project organization and structure, contracting strategy and resource plans.
Establish operational capacity, resources expertise, and systems necessary to operate the completed facilities during pre : commissioning, commissioning and start : up.
Ensure quality assurance and safety programs are established by all parties and maintained. : Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the projects.
Advise executive management of proposed business opportunity and after sanction, advise project status and of significant trends and changes in the NPV / IRR of the investment.
Facilitate handover facilities, support services and staff as appropriate and complete project closeout report. 5 : Know and comply with the MYSRL Internal Regulation related to Safety and Occupational Health issued pursuant to Law 29783, SD.
