The Senior Internal Auditor will use Risk and Auditing expertise for Equifax's LATAM operations to ensure the business operates effectively, efficiently and meets its regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct risk based audits across the business in line with best practice methodology and Equifax procedures
  • Identify potential solutions to identified gaps in the control environment, and recommending their consideration to management
  • Feeding back findings of audit work to management and discussing any concerns
  • Drafting audit reports summarising the findings or audit work
  • Assess whether risks are mitigated across the business and that operations are aligned across the group
  • Build relationships and open communication channels across the business with key stakeholders, always maintaining trust to help the business meet its operational goals
  • Carry out assurance activities to ensure the group's business and strategic objectives are identified, reported and managed
  • Act as a consultant, advising departments, providing recommendations across the business on operational changes to improve business performance and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support audits of clients and suppliers to assess the risk to Equifax
  • Provide robust challenge on major projects
  • Undertake investigation or special reviews

  • Capitalises on new and challenging opportunities as critical learning and growth experiences, delegating familiar work to create a supportive learning environment and help others develop new skills
  • Provides behaviourally-oriented performance feedback to others without hesitation, even when the feedback is difficult to deliver
  • Required Experience :

  • 4 years of experience as an internal auditor
  • Knowledge in internal audit within financial services, internal audit within an international multi-site group of companies, or external audit with experience from a Credit Bureau, Financial Services organisation or similar
  • Strong communicator, with experience in engaging a range of stakeholders at different levels, up to senior management and Exec
  • Independent, motivated, works well under remote supervision (required)
  • Demonstrable skills and qualities needed in being an effective auditor : Confidence, attention to detail, negotiator, integrity, analytics
  • Advanced English (required)
  • US GAAP accounting standards (required)
