About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Expert to lead a newly established International Program Service Hub in Kuala Lumpur.

You will be responsible for leading a team of insurance professionals in charge for the servicing of the incoming portfolio for Swiss Re's producing offices in APAC including policy and invoice issuance, binder verification and premium collection.

You will ensure compliance with local and group requirements and the internal control framework.

Core responsibilities include

1. Ensure the appropriate services are provided by the team to support transactional business and coordination of local policy and invoice issuance process using our IT Tools for a defined set of International Programs.

2. Ensure the appropriate Local Policy Quality Control process is carried out, so that policies are issued in a timely and accurate manner, in adherence to Service Level Agreements and local policy requests.

3. Ensure the appropriate coordination of Service Exceptions and Issuance of endorsements.

4. Ensure timely support is provided to Producing Office regarding local premium collection.

5. Ensure timely bookings and binder verification processes.

6. Ensure appropriate support to process enhancement initiatives as well as the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures.

7. Ensure appropriate support is provided by Network Partner Coordinators to the Central Claims Coordinator for queries on Network Partner policies.

8. Monitor and report on performance to the Head of IP Operations and other key stakeholders as necessary.

9. Participate as SME in key process and system enhancement initiatives as required.

Closely coordinate and liaise with other Finance and Operations teams, as well as other key stakeholders across the Corporate Solutions international business community.

Main tasks / Activities :

Build :

Build a team of UW analysts and UW assistants

Develop the business case and concept, including project and implementation plans for central manufacturing of IP local policies issued by partners, e.

g. on Property OneForm, jointly with the IP Ops Manager.

Run :

Act as escalation point for policy coordination where necessary

Monitor and improve performance where possible

Ensure operational compliance with local and group policies and internal control framework

Stakeholders and Customers :

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and partners to ensure common goals and expectations. The main stakeholders are all teams belonging to IP Operations, International Financial Management Team, CorSo Producing Offices, IB OPEX, and COO / COO Office.

Leadership and Management :

Oversee daily activities of the team

Recruit, develop and coach employees to fulfill respective mandate

Assign work and manages individual and team performance in an enabling (versus controlling) manner

Ensure trustful and open communication - lead by example and live our values

Engage and Inspires - act and behave as an ambassador of our strategic direction and values

Connect the activities both of the role and within International Business Operations to the Operations Vision 2023.

About You

Proven management experience in leading teams in a global environment

Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken), other languages are an asset

Analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output on short deadlines and manage details without losing sight of the big picture

Ability to work on own initiative, in a target-oriented environment

Managing multiple priorities and competing demands and acting resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality targets

Analytical and methodical work-style combined with good business judgment and high-quality output

Ability to communicate at the senior management level

Ability to influence in a complex, cross-functional and multi-location environment

Flair for international setups and appropriate cultural sensitivities
