The Department of Civil Engineering at the Universidad de Ingenieria y Tecnologia UTEC’, Lima, Peru, invites applications from outstanding individuals for one faculty position.
We anticipate hiring at the Assistant Professor level, although truly exceptional candidates may be suitable for hiring at the Associate or Full Professor level.
We are especially interested in motivated individuals with experience in any of the following areas, but not limited to : (1) Construction engineering and management (e.
g., Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technologies, Construction Automation, Digital Twin for Construction, Modularization and Lean Construction, Supply-Chain Management, Project Controls, and Risk Mitigation, Construction Optimization, Engineering Economics, etc.
or (2) Construction Materials (e.g., Building Materials, Concrete Technology, Durability of Concrete, Fiber-Reinforced Concrete, High-Performance Concrete, New Construction Materials, 3D-Printed Concrete, Sustainable Construction, Carbon Footprint, etc.
Applicants whose work bridges areas and who envision cross-departmental collaborations are particularly encouraged to apply.
Once hired, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to obtain competitive external funding, to establish an effervescent cross-disciplinary research program, and to contribute through service to the profession, to the department, and UTEC.
