AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Site Design Manager for employment in our Lima, Peru office. Our Lima Airport project team is seeking a Site Design Manager to coordinate the design of different disciplines across different Aecom geographies and for the design build.
This role will be the coordinator of all Design requirements (construction drawings, specifications, etc) to support airport design and construction.
The skills required for this role include client coordination, technical knowledge of design process, and management of design teams and will have overall oversight and management responsibilities for the coordination of all design elements (airside, passenger terminal, ATCT, ancillary buildings and landside).
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :
Responsible for design coordination between all disciplines including architectural, MEP, civil, geotechnical, structural, and other disciplines involved in the full design of airfield, terminal, and landside facilities
Be able to lead and motivate self and team members
Responsible for documenting outstanding design issues
Responsible for holding regular design meetings with the Project Managers from Bogota, Madrid and U.S. office
Responsible for documenting Client questions and preparing responses based on input from the technical discipline leads
Overall coordination required in Lima between all the Client Group members and client and subcontractor experts, our own subject matter experts (SME’s) and resource executives
Overall coordination with local consultants that we will need for permitting and other matters
Conducting team training on new business guidelines or design developments
Ensuring design quality and that design directives are followed
Be creative and innovative, and resolve issues in a timely manner
Responsible for produce quality projects consistently
Coordination with the client regarding stakeholders input
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture / Engineering or related field
10+ years of experience in design management for major airport design and construction projects including terminals and airside
Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision making abilities
Must have excellent communication and presentation skills Experience in design management, coordination and problem solving on major international airport projects
Experience in governmental projects or public works
Master’s degree in Architecture / Engineering or related field
15+ years of experience
Fluent in English and proficient in Spanish is desirable but not necessary
